Fincantieri - signed new order for the supply of pipes and filters in GRP for new ships Virgin Voyages

The new units, which will be delivered respectively in 2020, 2021 and 2022, will have about 110,000 gross tons, a length of 278 meters, a width of 38, and will be equipped with over 1,400 cabins able to accommodate more than 2,700 passengers, assisted by a crew of 1,150 people to guarantee the distinctive Virgin style.
These vessels will be characterized by their original design and high complexity, as well as for a range of highly innovative ideas and design solutions, especially in relation to energy recovery and limited environmental impact. The units will in fact be equipped with an electricity production system of about 1 MW that uses the waste heat of diesel engines. The result is a project that can distinguish Virgin Voyages in the world cruise scene. |
